Sorry I have been gone for a while. School has been crazy recently with so many team homework to do and I have been working as many hours as I can at the pool so I have as much money as possible to do everything I want to do this summer. I have a couple of new posts started, but I haven't had time to complete or proof read them. I should post them in a couple of days! There are officially less than 50 days to go before Disney!! And spring is officially here, even though it's still super cold outside and we have had a couple of small snow storms in the last week.
I received my DS-2019 last week! I just paid my SEVIS fee. Now I have everything I need for my visa! Cinderella was alright. I loved the costumes and everything they added to the story, but I think I prefer the animated movie. And seeing Bellatrix Lestrange as the Fairy Godmother was just really weird. It's like Helena Bonham Carter couldn't play a nice character in my head, she is obviously a villain. I enjoyed Frozen Fever, but I am so tired of Frozen that it wasn't that good to me. Those tiny snowmen were really cute though! This weekend, the girls from Disney and I are going for breakfast and I can't wait! Those events are what keep me going. Talking about Disney and seeing Laurie, Florence and everyone else who is going to Florida this summer is amazing. Plus, we don't see each other that often so it's good to see them again. It's going to take my mind off school and work. I am preparing a surprise for the last 15 days before I leave and I can't wait to tell you more about it, but it has to be a secret for now so it can stay a surprise! Until then, I will try to post more frequently.

60 days! Can you believe it? I would love to say that time is flying by, but that would be lying. I look at the countdown on my phone at least 3 times a day :P it's pathetic.
Spring break was last week, so I only have a couple of weeks left until school is over! The weather is a lot better now. The temperature is finally above 0 degrees celsius, so it's a lot easier to wait for Florida now that I can go outside without freezing. The new Cinderella movie is coming out this weekend! Who is excited? I can't wait to see the costumes and what they have done with this story. I absolutely loved Maleficent so I'm afraid I'm going to be disappointed by this one, but we'll see. I have been watching vlogs all week and I can't wait to leave. If it is like last year, I should get my DS-2019 in the mail next week. We got it on March 18 last year. After that, I can pay for my SEVIS fee and then all of my documents will be complete except for DORMS which we will get at the beginning of May. I really need to start looking for roommates. I want to choose my roommates so I can start getting to know them before the program starts, but I am still under 21 and all of my friends from last year are now over 21 which means we can't room together, so I don't know anyone. I should start paying more attention to the roommate search Facebook group... I'm sorry this post is so boring for you guys, but I'm really excited and I needed to tell the world: 60 DAYS LEFT!!! Hooray! I promise I will try to make my posts more interesting in the future. For now, I hope you are doing well and are planning a Disney vacation in the near future and I will update you soon! Fun fact: I did my first Magical Moment of the year today! One of the little girls in my group at the pool is going to Disney World for the first time in a couple of weeks and she is really excited about it so I gave her her first pair of Mickey ears, some Mickey and princess stickers and her first pin so she can pin trade. She was really happy and even more excited to go. It was a really cute moment and it totally made my day! Yup! I have survived 10 more days and there are officially 70 days left before the beginning of my second ICP! In 56 days, school will be over! I have done everything that I could to prepare for my program: my fees are paid, my insurance is paid, my plane ticket is bought, my background check is done and sent to Yummy Jobs, my Hire Documentation is printed and signed, now I have nothing left to do until my DS-2019 comes in the mail. It should come in about a month.
To make the wait easier, Laurie, Florence and I have decided to organise a few meet ups with the people from Quebec who are also going to Disney. We had our first one on Friday and it was so much fun! We had a Disney movie night at Laurie's and ended up talking until 3 am. The next one is Wednesday. We are going to the restaurant and a lot of people are coming so it's going to be great! The wait is literally killing me! I don't know how I managed last year! At least the weather is more bearable now and it's not as cold so hopefully I can start doing some activities outside soon. |
AuthorHello everyone! My name is Marie-Ève. I am from Québec, Canada and this blog is about my summer as a cast member in Walt Disney World. Since most of my family and friends speak French, everything on this blog will be written both in English and French. Archives
